STATEPARKS
Since being formed in 2021, Stateparks has been able to make a name for themselves. Purely inspired by the DIY culture, they began on their journey to resurrect the Ames, IA music scene after the COVID-19 pandemic. With the use of unconventional marketing, an empty garage, and a set’s worth of original music, Stateparks was able to gain quick momentum. Throughout their time, they have been fortunate to make lifelong connections with a handful of local artists and play at legendary venues, such as The A-Hole. Each person they’ve met along the way shares the same goal in mind and has supported Stateparks as they show that the Iowa music scene is alive and well.
HOT KUNCH
After joining forces in 2016 at Iowa State University, Hot Kunch quickly became a household name around the Des Moines/Ames area. During the early years, the band focused on learning over 100 cover songs and performed sets at various bars. In 2021, Hot Kunch debuted a glimpse of their original music with their EP titled “Puzzle Master”. Since releasing their first EP, Hot Kunch has added to their discography with singles including “See You in My Dreams” and “Struggy Bus”. Looking into the future, the band is focused on showcasing more of their original music and performing around Iowa.
NOBLETIGER
Assembled from a hopeful Craigslist ad in 2021, four out-of-state transplants convened in Iowa to form NOBLETIGER. The group effortlessly blends hints of shoegaze, dream pop, and melodic post-hardcore, providing a textured experience listeners can both chill and rock out to, sometimes even within the same song. Their impassioned live performances are their hallmark, and are not to be missed. The boys will be heading back into the studio Spring 2025 to record their newest EP, and will look to expand their gigging horizons throughout the year and beyond.
